Andy Palacio, a Belizean hero, musician, and artist, died in January 2008. The year before his death his music project “Watima” is Belize’s equivalent to the “Buena Vista Social Club” and similarly reflects the musical and cultural richness of Belize. This record released in 2007 rose to a number one on the world music charts.
