Belize City woman breaks gun law then faints

The Amandala reports that a Belize City woman facing jail time for a violation of the new gun law, fainted as the magistrate was sentencing her. She along with her husband and son were found to be on the wrong side of the law concerning their guns.

According to a new amendment to Belizean gun laws, anyone charged with illegal possession of firearms or ammunition is not eligible for bail and must be incarcerated until the sentencing. Ms.Canto fainted upon hearing the magistrates decision to deny bail. Luckily for her, the fainting spell was enough evidence for to avoid jail for medical reasons.

    Lets see… In the usa possession of a firearm is part of the constitutional ammendments, while belize jails suspected violators without even a conviction.
