Great Escapes, USA Convict Found In Belize

Most of the time it is a one way trip for criminals coming from the USA into Belize. And most of the time they are Belizean being exported from the slums of American cities. Not the case this time, as a USA fugitive from the law who skipped out on his trial, where he was found guilty, was found in Belize. Extradition proceedings have started.
“Back in December, Brian Perry was being tried for statutory rape, taking indecent liberties with a child and possession of firearm by a felon. The jury found him guilty, but Perry fled the country while the trial was still in progress.
The US Marshals have been looking for him for months, and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office got word this weekend that he had been found in Belize.”
