Taiwanese President, Coming to Belize

President Ma Ying-Jeou is headed to Belize next week for his first official visit to the country.  His planned two day tour is part of a wider tour of Central America ending with a visit to El Salvador in time for the inauguration of their new president.  Ma is also planning to return to Central America late next month to visit Honduras and attend the inauguration of another new president, Ricardo Martinelli, in Panama on July 1. He stops in the United States are seen as “transitional” and “low key”.
