The World Reacts to Military Coup in Honduras our Neighbor to the South

The president of Honduras was removed this morning by masked soldiers who forced him onto a plane bound for San Jose, Costa Rica. The world reacts.


The world is reacting today to military coup in Honduras. Hugo Chavez has said that he has alerted his military should the Venezuela embassy be attacked. Other Central and Southern American countries have been quick to announce that they will not recognize any military rule.  Many are calling this coup a “a return to barbarity”. The European Union and the United States are together in condemning this military action and are calling for the reinstatement of the “constitutional president”.

Belize News Post has no word on the Belize’s stance on this military coup.  Updates coming soon.
