The Amandala’s recent reporting on an international effort to repeal the queer hating laws of Belize is as offensive for it’s poor reporting as it is for it’s implied agreement with anti-human rights groups in Belize. United Belize Advocacy Movement’s (UNIBAM) has gotten a lot of attention in the last couple days after announcing it’s campaign against anti-gay, anti LGBT people in the Caribbean, aimed at abolishing the hate filled laws which are as old as colonial rule in much of the Caribbean. It’s utterly saddening to read Belizean blogs and forums and read so much hate.
